What does Akismet protect?
Akismet can analyze any piece of user-submitted text to protect your website from spam.
Akismet is frequently used to prevent:
- Spam comments
- Spam pingbacks
- Spam form submissions
- Spam forum posts
- Spam WooCommerce product reviews (for protection against fraudulent orders, you will need an anti-fraud solution)
Akismet integrates with several content management systems (CMS) and has libraries for different uses. Developers can also build their own integrations using Akismet’s API.
