  1. Actually, I made an Akismet library for my CodeIgniter application as well. But however any such library is done, it’s still CodeIgniter + Akismet… and I just love the sound of that πŸ™‚

  3. We use Elliot’s Library and your service to great success in our applications, it has helped speed up integration into your service massively. Well done to you and Elliot for this great contribution.

  4. “Akismet has caught 121,580 spam for you since you first installed it.”

Hugest of Huge Thank You. I am so glad not to have to even see all that unsavory stuff. πŸ™‚

  5. What is going on with v2.1.5? I just installed it and I’m getting innundated with spam?

  6. Akismet tells me it has trapped 464,745 as of today. However, I’ve noticed a new strain of spam comment, ones that simply duplicate previous comments and then post them seemingly randomly to other blog posts on my site together with the usual Rx, pr0n, and sh*t links. Any thoughts on how Akismet can cope with such a strategy, will this library help?

  8. Elliot’s Code Igniter library site rocks, and with Akismet it is a great help to fight off spam. Cannot imagine life without spam filters. If there wasn’t anyrhing like this created, I might omit blogging from my daily activity.

  9. Akismet is really good to protect blogs, but there is a problem, when non-spam-comments are flagged as spam, although they are not. You should tell your clients to use Akismet responsible and only to flag real spam comments.
